The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has disclosed plans to arraign former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over alleged corruption-related offences.
According to a statement issued by the Commission’s Head of Media and Public Communications, John Okor Odey, El-Rufai and one Joel Adoga are scheduled to be arraigned before the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
The Commission said the case, marked FHC/KD/73/2026, includes charges bordering on conversion and possession of public property as well as money laundering.
In a related development, the ICPC said it has also filed another charge against El-Rufai and one Amadu Sule before the Kaduna State High Court.
The suit, with number KDH/KAD/ICPC/01/26, contains allegations including abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage.
The Commission noted that both charges were filed on March 18, 2026.
It added that the date for arraignment at the State High Court would be communicated in due course.
“The ICPC wishes to inform the public that Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i has been duly served,” the statement said.
The anti-graft agency reaffirmed its commitment to due process and the rule of law in the prosecution of the case.
