Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has advised his followers to provide his phone number to anyone who kidnaps them.
He claimed to have the supernatural power to guarantee their liberation.
At a church service at his church’s Canaanland headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, Oyedepo said these things.
On Thursday, a sermon video clip went popular on social media.
“If someone chooses you, please give them my number,” he said.
Two stories of what he characterized as divine intervention in previous kidnapping instances involving members of his church were used by the clergyman to support the command.
In the first, he claimed that a church-affiliated pastor was kidnapped and that he was given the kidnapper’s phone.
He said he told the kidnapper that if the pastor was not freed, he would die within a day.
“One of our pastors was once carried by, what do you call, kidnappers,” he stated.
Give them the phone, I urged. You are dead if you don’t get rid of him within a day, I warned.
It was a vibrant area. in real time.
In the second story, he said that a female churchgoer was being held captive, but she firmly believed that she would be set free by seven in the morning.
He claimed that the kidnappers did not receive a call from him and instead started hurting themselves before releasing her.
My father told her, “I’m leaving here at the latest by seven in the morning.” They failed to make a call. He stated, “They began cutting themselves.”
Members carried the same spiritual force, according to Oyedepo; all they had to do was find and use it.
“You were brought up far above the devil.” He declared, “God has left heaven if the church does not defeat these devils.”
The video, which the church’s social media accounts posted under the hashtag #SupersonicSunday, seemed to be from a service that took place in the days prior to it going viral on Thursday.
