President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu have congratulated Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on his 84th birthday.
The president and his wife described Adeboye as one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts and a spiritual pillar who continually intercedes for the nation.
This is contained in a tribute issued on Sunday in Abuja.
“Pastor Enoch Adeboye is one of our nation’s greatest gifts: a spiritual fortress, interceding for Nigeria and its people to God Almighty,” the president said.
He said the cleric’s humility and wisdom have continued to inspire millions within and outside Nigeria.
Tinubu stated that Adeboye’s impact extends beyond the pulpit to philanthropy, healthcare, education and economic empowerment.
“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O., as he marks his 84th birthday,” the president said.
Tinubu congratulated the cleric and his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, as well as members of the RCCG and the global Christian community.
He thanked the revered cleric for his continuous prayers for Nigeria and commitment to the nation’s progress.
“We thank the Lord’s servant for his unceasing prayers for our nation and commend his patriotic zeal and commitment to Nigeria’s progress,” he said.
Tinubu also acknowledged Adeboye’s leadership and teachings, which he said had shaped lives across generations.
“His teachings over the past five decades continue to shape and transform lives across generations in Nigeria and beyond,” he said.
The president prayed for continued good health and strength for the cleric.
“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continue to bless him with good health and strength as he continues his good work in the Lord’s vineyard,” he said. (NAN)
