Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has created his personal account on TikTok.
In a video shared on the page on Tuesday, the former Anambra state governor assured that it was his “official and only” TikTok account.
He also enjoined users to follow him towards building a “new Nigeria”.
“This is my official and only TikTok page. Kindly join me towards building a new Nigeria that is possible,” he said.
The TikTok page has garnered over 6,000 followers within an hour of the announcement.
The former governor also shared the link of the TikTok page on his other social media platforms.
Obi’s TikTok debut comes a few days after Nasir el-Rufai, the former Kaduna governor, joined the content creation platform.
The former Kaduna governor has raked in over 323,000 followers and 3 million views on his TikTok page in five days.
Obi contested as the flag bearer of the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election.
He however lost to All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu, coming third out of the 18 candidates who contested the presidential election.
The 63-year-old also served as the governor of Anambra state from 2007-2014.
