Sources in the Ondo State government confirmed the development to SaharaReporters.
Tayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG) is dead.
Oluwatuyi who was appointed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in January 2024 died on Saturday morning at an undisclosed hospital.
Sources in the Ondo State government confirmed the development to Mataz Arising.
The deceased was also Ondo SSG under late Rotimi Akeredolu’s administration.
The news of Oluwatuyi’s passing has sent shockwaves through the Ondo State government and community, and an official statement from the government is awaited.
Meanwhile, the state government has announced the passing of Oluwatuyi, describing his death as shocking and unexpected.
On December 15th, it was reported that Oluwatuyi was involved in an auto crash along Ife-Ibadan Expressway.
The vehicle he was travelling in was said to have skidded off the road into the bush while the late SSG, who sustained injury, was taken to the intensive care unit of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
