An Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court on Friday sentenced founder of iReign Christian Ministry, Feyi Oluwafeyiropo Daniels, to life imprisonment for “raping a church member.”
The judge, however, discharged and acquitted him on count two of the charge, which is the rape of another member of the church (name withheld).
The trial judge, Rahman Oshodi, found the Lagos-based cleric guilty of rape and sexual assault of a female worshipper.
The pastor was accused of sexually assaulting three of his church members at his residence in Lekki and on his church premises in Ikeja.
In May 2023, the cleric was remanded in court for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman at his Lekki residence.
The church member had told the court that the cleric had sex with her during a prayer session, while speaking in tongues.
During the trial, the victim, a member of the bishop’s church, was led in evidence by Babajide Boye, the state lead counsel.
The victim told the court that she heard her cousin listening to the bishops’s sermon on the phone while they were at her sister’s shop in Osogbo on January 2, 2019.

The founder of ‘I Reign Christian Ministry’, Feyi Daniels went viral in 2023 when he prophesied that Tinubu would win the 2023 presidential elections. However, the cleric noted that Tinubu would not be sworn in on May 29, 2023, but arrested by security agencies and that Peter Obi will be sworn in.
The cleric in a video posted on his YouTube channel on February 19, 2023, said, “About to be sworn-in, that day, everybody that said he (Tinubu) is the next president will be rejoicing and they will be saying, I told you, prophets that don’t see far will start telling you that, didn’t I tell you that
Tinubu is the next president? At that event, it looks like a very open ground, like a stadium-like centre, while at that event, military men will come in and they will arrest Tinubu.”
Checks by our correspondent on May 29, 2023, however, revealed that Tinubu was sworn-in and not arrested as the prophet predicted.
Daniels was born on May 6th.
He is married to his heartthrob, Pastor Awele Feyi-Daniels and their marriage is blessed with two boys.
