Peter Obi Files 51 Grounds Of Appeal Against Tribunal Judgment At Supreme Court (DETAILS)

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has filed an appeal before the Supreme Court, consisting of 51 grounds, seeking to nullify the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court that upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu.
In his notice of appeal, Obi contends that the Presidential Election Petitions Court made a legal error and arrived at an erroneous conclusion when it dismissed his petition challenging the outcome of the presidential election.
He maintains that the Tribunal, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, committed a miscarriage of justice against him by holding that he did not specify the polling units where irregularities occurred during the election.
Obi further criticizes the PEPC for rejecting his case on the basis that he did not specify the figures of votes allegedly suppressed or inflated in favor of President Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also accuses the panel of misinterpreting the law when it relied on certain provisions of the Electoral Act to strike out paragraphs of his petition.
Obi asserts that the lower court violated his right to fair hearing by improperly dismissing the evidence of his witnesses as incompetent.
He informs the apex court that the panel unjustly dismissed his allegation that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) uploaded 18,088 blurred results on its IReV portal.
Furthermore, he alleges that the tribunal disregarded his claim that Certified True Copies of documents issued by INEC to his legal team contained 8,123 blurred results, consisting of blank A4 papers, pictures, and images of unknown persons, falsely presented as the CTC of polling unit results of the presidential election.
Atiku’s 35

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abubakar Atiku, has lodged an appeal with the Supreme Court, seeking to annul the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Court, which affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 polls.
In the appeal, which rests on 35 grounds, Atiku asserts that the tribunal made a serious error and miscarriage of justice in its findings and conclusion concerning his petition against the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) announcement of Tinubu as President.
The notice of appeal also implores the apex court to overturn the entire findings and conclusions of the Tribunal, contending that they did not accurately represent the essence of his petition.
Atiku argues that the tribunal made a legal mistake by not annulling the presidential election held on February 25, 2023, due to non-compliance with the Electoral Act of 2022. He claims that, based on the evidence presented to the Tribunal, INEC conducted the election in serious violation and misrepresentation, contrary to the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022 and the doctrine of legitimate expectation.
