When you open the Bible and read it, especially the book of Leviticus, the video above is the video depiction of what you read. You see now that it is not only Yorubas that do aboru aboye, aboye bosise. Many believers in honesty don’t grapple with the New Testament doctrines and do not realize how different it is to the Old Testament . This is done on the eve of the Atonement day, Yom Kippor.
For the above reasons, some will argue that Judaism has no relationship with Christianity.
However:
John 3:17 in Other Translations17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Let us then revisit what Jesus said about the Old Testament;
Matthew 17-18
The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Matthew 5:17–18; Matthew 7:24 – ESV.org
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:17-18 KJV – Bible.com
The Savior sent from heaven to save the souls of men, destroyed nothing of the dictates from God or of Moses and the prophets.
I am not here or there on this controversy caused by Tope Alabi’s aboru boye bo sise, what I hold on to as a Christian are the two Scriptures quoted above in Jesus’s words as recorded by the Apostles in the Holy Book.
As long as we accept JESUS CHRIST as our LORD and SAVIOR and diligently seek him, I leave the rest to HIM who says in Matthew 7 :: NIV. “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
