The last of the reining Monarchies, Queen Elizabeth has paid her debt at age 96 after 70 yrs on the throne.
Some are crying and wailing their Grandmother Queen has gone. Too bad but it is expected.
Bless their hearts, I don’t mourn persons who are distant from me and are products of Institutionalized individuals, who through birth feel entitled to certain status.
All are created equal by God and the various subjugation that stratifies life are human creations. No one is indispensable regardless.
Jesus was crucified and life has moved on. This too is now history.
Queen was on the throne for 70 years, more years than most African countries have been independent.
Anglophone Africa is allegedly poorer because of her former colonizing power, Britain, and the Grandmother Queen had granting authority to form New government. Throughout her rein, maybe I missed it, I don’t remember the Queen condemning British heinous acts exploiting Africa.
It is alleged the monarch owns a chunk of land in Kenya – never proven nor denied. She was visiting Kenya when her father passed and she hurriedly returned to become Queen.
Kenya according to Britain is Pearl of Africa and as we know it, no one walks away from a Pearl without the urge to pocket some if not all. Chew on that!
Buganda kingdom was misled to agree to become a protectorate of the Queen, read the article “How To Exapnd British Empire”.
Of all the loots and stolen wealth alleged to be stashed in Britain from exploited countries, I never heard any word from the Queen condemning such. Maybe she did, and I missed it. My bad – I roll like that by nature and nurture. Oh Lord forgive me for such indiscretion. On Judgment day I await my punishment. Until then, I shall speak up to what I abhor especially against humanity – the vulnerable.
The so called British Virgin Islands are still under the control of Britain undue to “we deserve to own it as subjects”.
When Falkland wanted to be independent, Britain went to war to crush the tiny island.
My reasonable sense would have said – Let them go. Nope, the Queen was in consent so it seemed.
Am not one who subscribes to anyone having the right to entitled life because of birth or lineage.
I have no tears to give when anyone passes except persons close to me or I know, not those I know of through media exaggeration and mind altering manipulations often crafted along western style “We-Are-It-as-God’s-Gift-to-Humanity”.
Like James Hadley Chase wrote “Believe that you Believe anything”, is right on.
As usual DEATH IS THE ULTIMATE EQUALIZER NO RESPECFER OF STATUS NOR POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCES. ASHES-TO-ASHES.
It is unavoidable. While mob-like crying, wailing and weeping ensues, my well of tears is dry and will shed none.
For those who cry along to feel along, bless their hearts – it is all theirs.
Now go take on the day and be useful to self.
“O TI TAN” as you keep chewing. Ka chi gozie okwu.
