Below is Adeyinka’s arrest audio: The story was published exclusively by Mataz Arising on March 7, 2022
Adeyinka Godson, a one man Yoruba self determination agitator who has been in prison in England for four months now, since November 2021, spoke from prison to explain the reason for his fate. Adeyinka in an audio above obtained by Mataz arising claimed that he was not jailed because of terrorism but because of his immigration status.
In the audio, Adeyinka stated that he was set up by his ex wife due to an immigration problem his ex’s husband would have by applying for contact order for his children.
Adeyinka’s immigration papers had expired, and for him to renew it, he had to apply for a contact order for his children. The contact order was a problem for her ex because according to the audio tape, the lady had used their children to apply for residency for her new husband.
To avert the potential of Yinka’s ex’s wife’s husband losing his immigration status, she went and reported Yinka to the police alleging that he was involved in terrorism which was why he got arrested.
Upon this allegation from his wife, the police went to Adeyinka’s house, his friend’s house and his girlfriend’s house to search those properties for evidence linking him with terrorism, and found nothing related or connecting Adeyinka to terrorism in any of these residences.
It was during the search that they saw some videos he made exposing racial prejudice and the situation in Nigeria of master/slave between the Fulani and the rest of the country, where he was asking the Yoruba people to emancipate themselves from Fulani enslavement.
He was arrested and charged to court for racial hatred for the Fulanis, the Igbos and the British people. The charge against the British was later dropped according to Adeyinka.
The Met Police produced six videos as proof of their charges which they presented to the jury in his trial, and Yinka said he had three videos of his own to counter the charges in defence of himself. However, the sitting judge did not allow him and his defence team to present these videos to the jury.
Adeyinka said that he wanted to also explain to the jury that his wife had used their children to apply for papers for her new husband and that him applying for contact papers for the children was going to affect his ex’s husband chance of obtaining his stay application.
At the conclusion of the trial, the jury deliberated for three days, and when they couldn’t reach a decision to find Adeyinka guilty, they requested to know whether their was war in Nigeria. With the situation in Nigeria with Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen bloodletting, kidnappings, the Yoruba nation agitation, IPOB and the FG’s response, the jury concluded that indeed, Nigeria was at war.
However, in yet another twist, the trial judge instructed the jury to only consider the police videos in their deliberations and not the political situation in Nigeria for which Adeyinka says is the reason he made the videos.
Adeyinka ended the video by appealing to investigative journalists in Nigeria, the Punch Newspaper to come to his aid by interviewing him to corroborate his story which he believes will ultimately exonerate him.
“Think Yoruba First”, he urged, and “Tinubu for President”, he endorsed!
