Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya declares that he cannot pay Gombe State workers salaries without the federally shared income from VAT.
35% of Gombe States total earnings come from VAT which is collected nationwide by the Federal Government and 85% distributed to states. 71% of total VAT revenue is collected from Lagos, Rivers and Oyo States.
What this means is that the people of Lagos, Rivers and Oyo States are paying the salaries of Gombe State public workers.
And yet Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State boasts that the North must continue to dominate and provide leadership for Nigeria. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the hungry man with a fatuous boast says the North must continue to lead whether the South likes it or not.
The boasts are empty of course. The North is imploding even before their eyes like a slow motion movie. With so much banditry and dissonance, the South only needs to stand aside and watch the North destroy itself. And then of course, the South needs to keep it’s money for itself.
It doesn’t rain for the North. It pours.
FEMI FANI-KAYODE AND THE WAYS OF MADMEN
Since leaving Brighton College and Harrows School in Britain, Femi Fani Kayode has been in and out of mental hospitals in several countries.
In Ghana, he was in mental facilities for many years and came out not cured. He left his wife there and returned to Nigeria. He has probably been married more times than Elizabeth Taylor.
So why do Nigerians expect him to behave differently from the madness he has been treated for all his life?
FEMI Fani-Kayode is a talkative mole everywhere he goes. Let no political organization be happy to have Femi in their fold.
