The Southern Nigeria Frontier, SNF, has described the Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, as a national security threat, noting that it would confront CNG if the Federal Government failed to call the group and its members to order.
SNF’s warning is coming on the heels of group by the federal government.
MY RESPONSE:
You can see that the North and Attorney General Malami led Justice department got away with unilaterally branding IPOB a terrorist organization and then proscribed the agitating freedom fighting organization while the rest of Nigerians moved on with ambivalence. Infact some applauded such dangerous undemocratic moves and injustice. Now, emboldened by the docility and lack of solidarity by the other Nigerians, the same ignorant, misguided Northern elements are calling for Afenifere and other socio cultural organizations in the South to be declared terrorists organizations and get proscribed by their federal government.
They even went beyond that to urge their federal government to Arrest the very fearless and highly revered Elder statesman Pa Ayo Adebanjo for speaking out.
Now, before anyone will wave these guys off and say: “impossible!”, the person need to first go back and reveiw how things have played out in the past few years under this administration. Things you think that no one should ever countenanced or contemplated, they’ve already perfected plans to carry out regardless. Nearly everthing these ragtag Northern groups have said or demanded just as in this case all came to pass. Fully implemented by the current Attorney General Abubakar Malami who dutifully reported to them in native Hausa vernacular that the leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu they in the same like maner put a 100 million naira bounty for his arrest, and then less than two weeks later the news broke that Nnamdi Kanu is in their custody. The AG effectively reported to them in Hausa.
Another group from the North is now telling us that the Fulani is 40 million and the Non Fulanis of the North are 120 million and from his utterances they all have PVC to vote for whom ever they wish in 2023. Basically, these guys are dropping hints as usual on how things will play out going forward to 2023 doomed presidential elections that supposed to be zoned to the SouthEast region this time. So by that press conference tbose poilticians from the SouthEast or Southern Nigerian still dwelling in fools paradise about occupying Asorock should wake up from their slumber.
There are so many other pronouncements from different Northern groups that have hit the bulls eye in pinpoint accuracy with the actions of this federal Government. They really didn’t deviate much from the official policies and actions of the federal government.
So the South, especially the SouthWest need to rise up right now or simply wait till the deal and the damage are done as in the case of IPOB.
It needs to be made clear and unequivocal that any remotest moves towards the Elder Stateman will prove very devastating for this hugely challenged country.
