Let me talk a little bit about Attahiru “Attack-machine” as he was fondly called by officers and men.
I met this man when he was a Major and 2/ic to the provost marshal at Bori camp, I had gone to renew my access gate pass when we met and became friends.
Since he became COAS, I was opportune to meet him twice to discuss the sea piracy issues on Bonny water ways, he asked that I do a petition to him which he immediately directed that 103 battalion stationed at Santa Barbra should should be expanded to cover Cawthorn channel the flanks, he directed that 5 extra ballistic boats be included to the fleet to boost Mobility, he listened to my appeal and even promised to do something in collaboration with the Navy.
He had too many enemies at the top due to his blunt nature,
He promised to end the insurgency in 2 months and he meant it, he pushed for more funds for the Army, he suggested that funds for equipment should be paid directly to manufacturers in Pakistan, Ukraine, Germany and China for attack weapons, humvees etc instead being released to the Army procurement board, (the first internal fight) the establishment didn’t like that idea but field officers were happy.
Troops who had served more than a year in the theatre under Buratai were immediately redeployed out and replaced with a new set.
That guy was hungry for success, he always said that his role model in the Army was the late Gen Maxwell Khobe , the Benue state born brave officer who ended the Liberia war and became a Chief of Army Staff in Liberia before his demise.
This f*cked up country will always bring down those who are poised to build it.

Wow!!!
I knew that The Nigerian Army has been compromised during GEJ regime when Army weapons were being sold to Boko Haram. I said so in a newspaper interview. It has also been established that Insider information get to the group before they attack the Barracks and the soldiers. I now believe that the crash may be sabotage!!! Allahu Allam!!!
