Who says that Nigeria has not reached a dead end and must peacefully and voluntarily break up, or at the minimum, restructure through negotiation?
If you are still in any doubt, I urge you to go to You Tube and listen to General Obasanjo’s and General Danjuma’s warnings to the Buhari Government.
I would also urge you to Google Professor Banji Akintoye’s latest interview on the You Tube where he courageously and brilliantly articulated why the Yoruba Nation has to opt out of the Nigeria Federation for our own self-preservation or death.
But for the fact that I do not advocate or support military rule or take over, one can safely say that, Nigeria is more than ripe for a military coup today but that the Nigerian Military is today as divided, politicized, polarized, and weakened than at any time in the History of Nigeria.
Therefore a military coup is totally out of the question right now.
Rather than settle for a bitter and protracted civil war, the time has come for us to reason together and to peacefully break up or restructure the country through negotiation.
This suggestion may look draconian or even insane or naive right now. I am making it nonetheless because it is better to not fight a war first before we are forced to go back to the negotiation table where all wars usually end.
It is better not to destroy the whole country before going back to rebuild after we have destroyed all of our assets.
It makes no sense to do that. We all must allow wiser counsel to prevail.
The wind has blown away the feathers to expose the anus of the mother hen or the rooster.
The 1999 Nigerian obnoxious Constitution was a big fraud like the 1914 Amalgamation Proclamation by Lord Lugard as brilliantly explained by Professor Banji Akintoye in lucid and flawless language.
It was General Yakubu Gowon as Head of State in 1966 who once declared that “the basis for Nigerian unity no longer existed”
The situation that had led General Gowon to make that statement 57 years ago is worse off of today with the level of insecurity, polarization and mayhem that have gripped the country under a Government that has proved to be totally incompetent to manage the diversity and the unity of Nigeria.
It is a Government that can no longer hide its Jihadist agenda to islamize Nigeria and to take over the whole of the South by force and through subterfuge.
