Wike stated this during an inspection tour of some ongoing projects in the nation’s capital Abuja on Thursday.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to rumours making the rounds about his health, saying that there was never a time he collapsed or was flown overseas for treatment
Wike stated this during an inspection tour of some ongoing projects in the nation’s capital Abuja on Thursday.
He claimed that the rumours emanated from mischief-makers whose sole purpose was to divert the attention of the public from the allegations made by the former Head of Service of Rivers State, George Nwaeke against suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie.
The former head of service on March 28th, 2025, claimed to have witnessed Fubara handing over a bag of money to Ehie to destroy the Rivers State House Assembly Complex.
So far, both Fubara and Ehie have denied the allegations, insisting that Nwaeke was under an influence, and not in his right frame of mind when he made the allegations.
Additionally, Ehie said he had instructed his lawyer to start a defamation suit against Nwaeke.
