The foremost leader of pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, is dead, MaTaZ ArIsInG has learnt.

Fasoranti’s death was confirmed on Tuesday in Akure.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa announced his death in a condolence statement issued on behalf of the state government.
Fasoranti, a respected elder statesman and prominent voice in Yoruba affairs, died at 100.
Aiyedatiwa described the deceased as a patriarch and a beacon of wisdom, integrity, and selfless service, whose life was devoted to the development of Ondo State, Yorubaland, and Nigeria.
The governor said Fasoranti’s counsel, fatherly guidance and principled positions on justice and good governance would be sorely missed.
He said the late Afenifere leader left an enduring legacy of honour and service that will continue to inspire generations.
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Ondo State, I commiserate with the Fasoranti family, the people of Akure Kingdom and the entire State over this great loss,” the governor said.
Aiyedatiwa, however, prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul.
