Even Peter Obi Now Praises Nigeria’s Security Because President Tinubu And Ribadu Cancelled His Insults by Delivering Results

Two weeks ago, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, I wrote an article titled ‘Nuhu Ribadu Is The Best Thing To Have Happened To Nigeria’s National Security In Over a Decade.’

When that piece went viral, some people scoffed, but here is the thing: I deal in facts and am a meticulous record keeper. So I knew what I was talking about. But I did not expect good karma to visit so soon after that piece.

But it did! Three weeks after I made that truthful assertion, my writings were vindicated.

In addition to apprehending two of the world’s most notorious and wanted terrorists, Abu Bara’a, the Emir of Ansaru, and Mallam Mahmuda, his deputy, who had been behind the Tuesday, July 5, 2022, Kuje Prison Break, in which Ansaru, a deadly branch of the Islamic State – West Africa Province, killed multiple people and freed 879 imprisoned terrorists, Nigeria’s security and intelligence forces also helped the Republic of Chad find and capture Muslim Mohammed Yusuf, AKA Abdrahman Mahamat Abdoulaye, and five other dangerous terrorists.

For those who do not know the significance of that, Muslim Mohammed Yusuf is the son of Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of Jama’at Ahl al-Sunna li al-Da’wa wa al-Jihad, AKA Boko Haram.

The other terrorists captured with the younger Yusuf include, Hassan Abdurrahman, a logistics facilitator for the Islamic State – West Africa Province (ISWAP), Abubakar Mohammed, an ISWAP recruiter, Abubakar Ali Madou, head of weapons and mobility for his ISWAP cell, and Abdurrahman Mohammed Abdallah, an underling to the apprehended ISWAP chief and one other.

This recent streak of security breakthroughs has led to a situation in which the United States, which on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, issued a travel advisory warning against Nigeria, turned around and, on Monday, August 18, 2025, heaped praise on Nigeria for its recent efforts in anti-terrorism, leading to the arrests of wanted terrorists.

And this happened because, as I have previously said, results cancel insults!

In fact, Nigeria’s security architecture under President Tinubu has been so outstanding that the United States and the United Kingdom issued two back-to-back statements praising Nigeria over the capture of the Ansaru kingpins and then the apprehension of Mohammed Yusuf’s scion.

Even Peter Obi, the Agbotikuyo I of Nigeria, was so serenaded with good news that he had nothing to use in de-marketing Nigeria and was forced to issue a statement on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, praising Nigeria’s anti-terror efforts. That’s a first!

Indeed, Malam Nuhu Ribadu has proved the truism of the Scripture which says:

“When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”-Proverbs 16:7.

And with all of this affirmation, you may be forgiven if you think these arrests are a recent phenomenon, but no.

Remember the Owo Church Massacre of Sunday, June 5, 2022? The suspects are now being tried. Impunity is no longer tolerated in Nigeria under Tinubu!

The reason you and I can ply the notorious Abuja-Kaduna Road without writing your will is because Nigeria’s security and intelligence forces under Malam Nuhu Ribadu have killed those notorious marauders who put Nigerians through hell during the Muhammadu Buhari administration by their rabid acts of kidnapping for ransom on that route, including:

3. Kachalla Damina
4. Kachalla Dangote
5. Kachalla Jafaru
6. Kachalla Barume
7. Kachalla Shehu
8. Tsoho
9. Kachalla Yellow Mai Buhu
10. Yellow Sirajo
11. Kachalla Dan Muhammadu
12. Kachalla Makasko
13. Yellow Hassan
14. Boderi
15. Kachalla Dan Ba birki
16. Auta Dan Mai Jan Kai

And the deaths of these terror masterminds are why you no longer hear of school abductions and train bombings in Nigeria. Those ugly incidents are a thing of the past.

Whether in the North or South, Nigeria is now more secure under President Bola Tinubu. That is why sit-at-homes are becoming a thing of the past in the Southeast. Over a hundred police stations previously shut under General Buhari have now been reopened in Igboland, and restiveness and militancy in the Niger Delta have been nipped in the bud.

The result is that Nigeria has met and exceeded its OPEC quota for the third month running because there is now peace in the country’s oil-producing communities. Something that has not happened for over a decade.

Oil theft has now been reduced to 2% or less. For the first time in almost thirty years, peace, progress, and prosperity have returned to Ogoniland. The Tinubu administration is building a new polytechnic in Ogoni while the cleanup is in progress.

The resultant increase in oil production led the International Monetary Fund to upgrade Nigeria’s economic growth forecast from 3.0% to 3.4% on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

And it is not just in physical security. Nuhu Ribadu has secured Nigeria online.

Please fact-check me: The Naira crashed to ₦1700 to $1 on Monday, February 19, 2024, with Rufai Oseni, the unpatriotic breasted hermaphrodite of Arise TV, mocking that we would shortly see an exchange rate of ₦2000 to $1.

But after the National Security Adviser shut down Binance and arrested some of its employees, the Naira appreciated dramatically and has remained at about ₦1500 to $1 this year.

So you see, when you have an able and steady hand directing Nigeria’s national security, the impact is multi-sectoral. It just does not end in securing the nation. Better security will always translate to improved prosperity!
