Hassan Ayariga, a Ghanaian politician who raised concerns about the Igbo King’s (Eze Chukwudi Jude) who allegedly attempted to acquire 50 acres of land in Ghana to build an Igbo Kingdom.
Ayariga calls it “illegal, unacceptable, and dangerous.” He believes this development threatens Ghana’s sovereignty, unity, and legal integrity. He then petitioned the Ghanian Buraeu of Investigation who then arrested the “Igbo king.”
Must watch video below:
Ayariga has made several demands, including
● Immediate investigation into the land acquisition and individuals involved.
● Revocation of all land documents and permits issued for the kingdom.
● Arrest and prosecution of this Nigerian citizen and any accomplices.
● Public statement from the Ministry of Lands regarding how this transaction was permitted.
Ayariga emphasizes that Ghana’s welcoming spirit shouldn’t be misconstrued as weakness. He’s concerned about Ghanaian youth struggling with employment and housing, finding it offensive for a foreigner to secure large lands for a personal kingdom during such difficult times.
The Igbo King was invited by the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) after Ayariga’s claims went viral on social media. The King was later released on bail after complaining of high blood pressure
On the 19th of July, the politician Hassan Ayariga is leading the demonstration against this issue.
