Ikechukwu gave this advice on Wednesday, during an appearance on Arise Television’s ‘The Morning Brief.’

Public analyst, Okey Ikechukwu has sent a message to Labour Party, LP, and the Obidients Movement members.
He urged them to change their ideology of not giving money as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.
Ikechukwu gave this advice on Wednesday, during an appearance on Arise Television’s ‘The Morning Brief’, saying, “you cannot send a hungry man an errand without giving him money to feed himself.”
He claimed that if the Obidients, LP continue to tow that lane, it means they are wasting time on self-adulation, He charged them to do the right thing instead of gathering popularity on social media, noting that there are no polling booths on the internet.
The Analyst urged Obidients to build a cohesion, such that there is a progressive development of ideological purity, group cohesion, meetings and encounters, leading to the development of structures at the ground level.
“The Obidients have argued convincingly and correctly that look, we’ve proven a lot of people wrong. They say that without structure, you cannot win elections in Nigeria, but without structures. See all the votes we got in Lagos. See all the votes we got all over the country, and I ask, did those votes come into your pockets?
“The Obidient movement is strong and powerful and even growing stronger. But as I keep telling the movement, or whatever it is called, there are no polling boots on the internet. There’s no polling booth on Facebook or Instagram. Polling booths are in specific local locations, and they have to be manned by party agents.
“The Labour Party is correct in saying, we no dey give shishi, but I’ll ask the party to make a distinction between mandatory expenses and discretionary expenses. If you send me to go to the market to buy you groundnut, you give me the money for the groundnut, but no money for transport, you say, oh, I may volunteer. But I may get tired on the way. And the danger is that your enemy may give me a ride, and I will say, wait, why am I even suffering all of this?
“Labour Party and Obidients Movement have to recalibrate the concept of I know they give shishi, meaning we will not spend money to survive the process, but will deal with necessary costs for those who will work for us,” he said.
