OFFICIAL STATEMENT BY DR. SANDRA C DURU
It has come to my attention that a series of defamatory and unfounded statements have been made about me, Dr. Sandra Duru, both on social media and on certain so-called “investigative” platforms, particularly those run by individuals such as Adeola Fayehun. I wish to categorically state that no matter how loud Adeola shouts, no matter how many guests she parades, and regardless of who she brings, even if it’s the devil himself, every single person who has mentioned my name in defamatory terms will be held legally accountable.

Let me remind the public and those who thrive on clout-chasing and misinformation that he who alleges must prove. This is not just a moral expectation; it is a legal requirement both under Nigerian, United States, and international law.
LEGAL BACKGROUND
Under Nigerian law:
• Section 391 of the Penal Code defines defamation as any act that harms a person’s reputation with intent to injure or knowing it will likely injure that person’s reputation.
• Section 392 prescribes a punishment of up to two years imprisonment or a fine, or both, for any person convicted of defamation.
• Under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015, particularly Section 24, making false allegations or statements against an individual online with intent to bully, harass, or defame is a criminal offence.
• The Nigerian Constitution (Section 36) upholds the right to fair hearing and protects the dignity and reputation of individuals under the rule of law.
Internationally, especially in the United States, defamation laws are equally clear. Freedom of speech is protected, yes, but freedom to defame is NOT. I trust the American judicial system, and my attorneys are currently archiving and documenting every single slanderous video and comment made about me on Adeola Fayehun’s platforms.
This includes the heinous, malicious, and entirely fabricated allegations she has made against me, claims so reckless that they have been further amplified by others through equally baseless and misguided assertions. These are not just vile lies; they are serious criminal accusations, and they will not go unchallenged. Each one will be addressed through the full force of the law.
CALL TO RESPONSIBLE JOURNALISM
Journalists must be licensed, ethical, and grounded in the foundational principles of balanced reporting, evidence-based narratives, and thorough investigation. A microphone or YouTube channel does not make one a journalist; it makes one liable when misinformation causes reputational and psychological damage.
To Adeola Fayehun and her reckless guests: your words are not exempt from the reach of the law. Whether you reside in Nigeria, the U.S., or anywhere else, you will be held to account. You must prove every allegation, or you will be prosecuted accordingly in the jurisdictions where the defamatory acts occurred. My legal team is prepared, and justice will be pursued to the full extent of the law.
ABOUT DR. SANDRA C. DURU
To those who are misinformed or intentionally choosing ignorance about who I am, my story is not one of overnight success. I worked humble jobs, yes, I was a janitor, I worked at McDonald’s, I lived in a shelter, etc. Through grace, grit, and relentless determination, I rose to become the CEO of MGBEKE GROUP|TUFF a global brand built on integrity, wellness, empowerment, and excellence.
I am a taxpayer! I have a clean record! I am BLESSED and not in anyway a CRIMINAL!
I am an author, a media scientist, a mother, a scholar, an entrepreneur, a public relations expert, and a warrior for truth. You are welcome to pick up my books SOUL TONIC – A Daily Motivational & Inspirational Guides, Volumes 1 & 2 and read about my journey and values before rushing to speak falsehoods. My success is not an overnight success, my dear.
Let it be known: this is not a battle of words, it is a legal war for truth. I will not engage in banter, but in legal prosecution, and I advise others to check their facts or forever remain silent.
As for your Maazi Obinna, Francess, Adanna, Iluo Oghene, Adeola, do your due diligence. Investigate the petitions, their histories of evil manipulations, and the reasons for your Maazi Obinna’s multiple invitations by authorities. You will find that what you’re promoting isn’t truth, it’s gossip weaponized.
To those watching: this is a new era. An era where lies no longer go unpunished.
