Shehu Sani, a former senator, has once again lashed out at the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, accusing him of political deceit and hypocrisy.
In a fiery response to El-Rufai’s recent allegations about Governor Uba Sani collecting N150 billion from President Bola Tinubu, Sani reminded the public of El-Rufai’s controversial financial dealings during his tenure as governor.

He listed several instances where he claims El-Rufai mismanaged or concealed large sums of money, including millions of dollars in Paris Refunds, billions from Excess Crude funds, Ecological funds, and special grants from former President Muhammadu Buhari, all of which he accused El-Rufai of keeping secret from the people of Kaduna.
According to the former senator, El-Rufai also took out billions in loans and collected stamp duties without informing the public or providing any transparency.
Sani criticized El-Rufai’s handling of $350 million in World Bank loans, alleging that no one in Kaduna could confidently explain how the money was spent, and called for a Kaduna State Assembly probe into the matter.
He also suggested that if the current governor is indeed withholding the alleged N150 billion, he may have learned the tactic from El-Rufai, who set a precedent for secrecy during his time in office.
The former senator implied that the ex-governor’s support for former President Buhari was financially motivated, questioning whether the present governor’s loyalty to Tinubu is similarly driven by money.
He further stated: “If the Present Governor is supporting Tinubu because of money, can we say that the former one was supporting and kneeling down for Buhari for the same reason.
“The man with a body odour is accusing another of having a mouth odour. The ex-governor also accused the present Governor of betrayal. It’s simply a case of the legend of betrayal being outsmarted by the grand guru.”
