A pregnant Nigerian lady in the UK, Prudence Daniel-Obia passed on to the world beyond on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Prudence became pregnant late last year with her first child. Excited for what the future holds, coupled with her new immigration status, Prudence was really hopeful for the coming months, excited to become a new mum, and had the dream of starting a new family with her beloved husband.
Unfortunately, on Friday, the 21st of June 2024, just three days after her 36th birthday, tragedy struck! Prudence went to bed and did not wake up the following morning, she passed on in her sleep! She died, together with her unborn babies (she was expecting triplets), leaving behind her distraught husband and aged parents.
Concerned Nigerians in the United Kingdom have started with fund raising for the bereaved family and have issued a statement regarding the unfortunate incident. The statement reads:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of a Nigerian in the UK who tragically died on Friday the 21st of June,2024.
We’re raising funds in memory of Prudence Daniel-Obia.
In this time of grief, we are reaching out to our community for support.
Please consider donating to help the family cover the burial expenses and provide some relief to her grieving family.
