Remember Mr Rasak Olaitan Idowu, the man who appeared in a viral video supporting Peter Obi in Lagos? He was knocked down by a vihicle driving against a one-way street 5 days ago in Lagos.
According to Mr Rasak, after his Video supporting Peter Obi went viral, a Group of APC members Approached him, offered and asked him to do a similar Video for Tinubu’s campaign but he refused. So, after that, he started receiving threats both physically and phone calls, they are angry about him supporting an “Omo Igbo”, (that is, Peter Obi).
On the last Wednesday of June 2022, Rasak was on his way to work when a vehicle speeding on a way, driving against the traffic, knocked him down. This happened 5 days after the APC supporters approached him to campaign for Tinubu, which after he turned them down, started to threaten him since even after they realized he survived the incident.
He is currently undergoing treatment at an unidentified hospital for his safety. He had to leave the hospital which he was first admitted because of the high cost of treatment. The hospital he was moved to where is he now, demanded N600,000 before surgery can be performed on his injured leg (scheduled on Tuesday) the surgery materials were procured yesterday.
Mr Rasak was in Good spirit, and he said he will rather die than stop supporting Peter Obi.
As at this evening, supporters of Peter Obi have raised over N1.6m for Mr Olaitan for his surgery. This is just to show how much Nigerian youths and Nigerians can go to help one another.
