Breakdown :
North……………..23
South……………..4
From the South:
South/South 2; South/West 2; South/East 0.
The same educationally disadvantaged North now has the best citizens to be so appointed.
It seems what divides us is stronger than what unites us. Let’s not pretend, Nigeria can’t work under a grossly insensitive and ethnocentric government headed by this man, Buhari. – Any Hope For Nigeria?
According to Hope For Nigeria, Buhari has completely killed the spirit of one Nigeria.
To make things worse, the APC’s government is a government that employs (terrorists sympathizers, Pantami is an example). We know general Buhari’s antecedents regarding Boko Haram, his statements and reactions before he became president can be easily googled. 8th year into his administration, how secure are Nigerians from terrorists, bandits, herdsmen and ISWAP.
ARE ANY OF THESE TERRORISTS CELLS & GROUPS CHRISTIANS? Why their terrorism? Islamise Nigeria?
APC’s Federal Appointments under Buhari have always tilted heavily towards Muslims, the result is there for all to see.
This same APC government supporters and paid propagandists are the ones now calling Nigerians who are questioning the wisdom, the rational, and the fairness of a Muslim Muslim ticket bigots, and labelling them as intolerant of Muslims.
So, may I ask, why is the north opposed to a Muslim Christian ticket? Is APC saying that there is no Christian in the north capable of being a vice to Tinubu? This is a slap on the faces of Christians, in not only Northern Nigeria, but in Nigeria as a whole.
(APC’s action is what is called reverse psychology, label others what you really are, height of hypocrisy.) This is the height of impunity by a party known for her impunity and disrespect for people of other religions and faith, in a secular country like Nigeria.
As if choosing a Muslim as his vice is not enough, the presidential candidate of APC, Bola Tinubu, went and chose a man who, allegedly is a sympathizer of Boko Haram. We now know how President Buhari’s administration has turned out for non Fulani Nigerians.
Below are newspaper reports, links to stories of Shettima’s alleged romance with the terrorist group, Boko Haram. (Boko Haram means against western civilization.) Read between the lines.
https://www.kossyderrickent.com/2022/07/nigerians-react-as-2011-xmas-day-bomber.html?m=1
While Asiwaju’s camp has tried to debunk the story that Shettima made the principal of the Chibok school where the Chibok girls were kidnapped in their hundreds, a commissioner, their silence about Shettima’s ties to Boko Haram has been very loud. (Make Nigerians borrow demselves sense o) To be forewarned is to be forearmed!
Asiwaju, a man widely seen, especially by his supporters as a talent spotter and a reader of men spotted and read Buhari wrong, and that’s why Nigeria is on the precipice. Is he reading Shettima wrong? Buhari betrayed Asiwaju, will Shettima do the same should Asiwaju win?
I will strongly advice Asiwaju to withdraw his nomination of Shettima as his vice and nominate a Christian instead. However, if he must choose a Muslim, he should look beyond Shettima, as sticking with Shettima is an endorsement of terrorism.
ON ATIKU ABUBAKAR’S CANDIDACY & PDP
Atiku Abubakar is a serial presidential candidate, he comes out to vie for the presidency every 4 years. General Obasanjo once described Atiku as “what he cannot steal does not exist”, paraphrased.
This is a man whose fraud case leveled against him in America has not been settled, who cannot travel to the United States because he is still banned from entering the country. With all their shenanigans, Atiku and Bukola Saraki in 2019, when they cwent to the US for 2 nights under special circumstances, Atiku is yet to be cleared of the charges of fraud against the US. If this is a lie, I challenge Atiku Abubakar to travel to the US and spend one week, and move around the states beyond the state of Maryland.
Will Joe Biden invite a Nigerian president charged with fraud against America to the White house? Will he stand shoulder to shoulder with an offender against the US in a photo op or in the same room during meetings of world leaders? I think not.
Let us change the narrative about Nigeria being a fraudulent country of fraudulent people. What message will Nigerians be sending to the world if Atiku becomes president? We are too great a country of brilliant minds and brilliant people to allow this negative narrative to follow us around the globe.
Below are the links for his fraud case and travel ban:
Atiku who would have probably relocated to America but for his ban, relocated instead to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, where he has been a permanent resident for over 5 years now. Many of his businesses and investments are located Dubai.
This does not show him as patriotic to Nigeria. Where will his allegiance lie if he becomes president? Will it be with Nigeria or the UAE where majority of his businesses are located? (shine your eyes Nigerians).
Despite the Civil War ravaging the PDP between the Okowa faction and Wike’s, Atiku, the cause of the problem, is chilling in Dubai. If he does not care about his party’s unity, one wonders if he will care about Nigeria’s if becomes president, especially now, when our national unity is razor thin.
On Muslim extremism, Atiku has shown Nigerians on whose side he belongs. We all remember how he deleted his tweet that condemned the murder of Deborah, a Christian killed by her school mates for an alleged blasphemy. He didn’t care how Christians would feel about him deleting the tweet, the extremists must be pleased. Can we trust a muslim extremist sympathizer with Nigeria after the carnage years Nigeria has suffered under Buhari? It’s better imagined.
Why PDP decided to hand over their presidential ticket to a man so enmeshed in controversy, and from the north, when every reasonable person in the party agreed that in the name of fairness and equity, the party’s candidacy should have gone to the South, is beyond everyone.
Nigeria must remember that without the maladministration, the obscene fraud and the power mongering of PDP’s government under Jonathan, Nigeria would never have had Buhari, enough said!
ON PETER OBI & THE LABOR PARTY
Millions of Nigerians, especially the youths see the emergence of Peter Obi as a breadth of fresh air, he is seen as one in who their hope for a better Nigeria, a brighter tomorrow lies. They blame the PDP and the APC for the almost total collapse of governance Nigerians are experiencing today. The insecurity, fraud in high places, nepotism, unemployment, high cost of living, ASUU strike are some of the problems plaguing Nigeria.
Peter Obi seems to be saying the right things, with his focus on turning Nigeria from a consuming nation to a producing one. He talks about issues that are paramount to the youths.
Here is what one David-Chyddy Eleke Wrote about Obi a year ago
‘He writes that Mr Peter Obi, the immediate past governor of Anambra State is fast becoming a reference point for politicians in the state, across party lines, as aspirants seeking the governorship seat of the state have made him their role model.
Anambra State will not forget Mr Peter Obi in a very long while. Though his tenure as governor had long gone, his works in the state remain indelible in the memory of the people of the state. Obi has gone ahead to be a reference point for good governance in the entire country, leaving many with the quest to get him to contest for the seat of the president of Nigeria, with a strong believe that he has the capacity to turn the fortunes of the country around.”

However, there are still very many Nigerians out there who have not yet made up their minds, who are leaning toward an Obi presidency, who may be turned off if indeed the story flooding the internet is true. And that is, that, IPOB members are trying to hijack his campaign, threatening to kill anyone who campaigns or speaks against him.
If these stories of violence from Obi’s supporters are true, he needs to get a lead on it, and or distance himself from such supporters. If the stories are propaganda and lies, his campaign needs to quel such damaging reports, and do so as soon as such break.
NOTE: The author is yet to endorse any candidate as at today July 12, 2022. It is a practice in all advanced democracies for newspapers and often times media houses to endorse a candidate. Therefore, this article should be read with open mind – Ayo Dada
