At the just concluded APC’s Convention at The Eagle Square Abuja over the weekend, the southwest section of the delegates/crowd sang loudly and proudly the national anthem of Yoruba nation.
Does this mean that the APC politicians of Yorùbá extractions are beginning to see the silver linings within the movement towards an independent and self sustaining Yorùbá nation? Yes or No, they still need to apply some elements of caution and not to jump into abrupt conclusions.
Could this be a tactical move to sway Yoruba people into trusting their party to win the Yoruba votes come 2023, thereby deliver Yorùbá nation after the 2023 general elections?
Could this be a subtle threat to the northern cabal who seems to have hijacked the All Progressive Congress Party that the option of the southwest leaving the “union” is alive and well should they continue with their nothernization agenda?
Could it be that the southwest delegates had prior knowledge of the shenanigans of Aso Rock/Northern cabal that was to come in the just concluded APC National Convention, or are they more concerned about the eventual outcomes from challenges to stop both Èkìtì and Òsun State elections in court?
Your guesses are as good as anybody’s.
