Professor Akintoye said the Yoruba governors cannot afford to give away their roots to thieves through selfish political ambition claiming they would be paying a heavy price if it happens.
He urged the political post cravers to think about their own future and the future of their generations coming.
A serious danger is hanging on Yoruba neck as Fulani mercenaries have surrounded our nation as Yoruba people, Professor Akintoye, Yoruba statesman and leader of the Ilana Omo Yoruba sounded the warning last weekend telling Yoruba political jobbers canvassing for 2023 election to come to terms with what is currently in play in South-West Nigeria.
According to the elder statesman. who with other statesmen in Yorubaland have been championing a freed Yoruba Nation, the reality must down on the governors that the government that be is using them against their a own people in a tactical political gameplay aimed at using them against their own people with war imminent and Fulanis surrounding the entire Yoruba regions and waiting for a mass killing command.
As he put it:” Yoruba people are in danger that they never experienced in history. This is no time for politics but a time to defend a fatherland.
He denoted that all Yoruba political actors seeking political posts and queuing up for 2023 are living in fools’ paradise and should come to terms with their mindset.
He said: ” This is a time to defend Yorubaland and not seeking for election as if Yorubaland ceases to exist, whom do they want to govern?”He added that the Federal government have compromised the nation and Fulanis are set for an overrun of Southwest which they want to adopt as their Fulani land.
He continued: “The Yorubas would never allow for it. We are a unique people in all aspects of life and our resilience and hospitality as Omoluabi , which the Fulanis are now taken for granted are all God endowed and should not be taken for fear or timidity”
Professor Akintoye said the Yoruba governors cannot afford to give away their roots to thieves through selfish political ambition claiming they would be paying a heavy price if it happens. He urged the political post cravers to think about their own future and the future of their generations coming.
“As Yoruba people, we can fight among ourselves because we are all well educated, well endowed, and much exposed. But when a crisis comes, we are a united people”.
“Our current governors must rise up to support Yoruba leaders in the fight against foreigners taking over Yoruba land.”
Professor Akintoye said that if the governors are thinking the current Fulani mercenary build-up in Yorubaland is all a joke, they should cast their mind back to what happened in Benue State in 2018 when the mercenaries in the quest to grab land embarked on overrun of 10 Benue villages, destroying the villages and killing over 80 people.
Professor Akintoye said as a group of sympathisers visited the state to commiserate with the governor, he was addressing the audience and there and then, brought out a letter which the Fulanis wrote on the same morning warning of further mayhem in the state.Drawing the letter out from under his rostrum, the governor read in part what the Fulanis had communicated to the state: What has happened to you is small.
A bigger onslaught is coming to Benue. The ethnic group in Benue said Land belongs to them. It is not so. We are taking it from you. The war we are fighting is not temporary and we are ready to fight for a year. All ethnic people in Benue would be cleared and we are ready to take their lands.
Akintoye urged the governors to wake up and refuse to be fooled through politics used as a distraction while calamity is being planned. He denoted that political jobbers under APC and PDP as being played now are dummies being used in action: “Any politician from South West declaring allegiance to this government and any political party under them is an enemy of the people in South-West.
We have been surrounded. We are being played politically. War of destruction is facing us and we have to defend our land and create more defence groups and form a formidable front to defend Yorubaland.
Professor Akintoye warned all Yorubas that this is not a time to argue or fight over political matters as they are being used as distractions to catch SW unawares.
He added that Yorubas are now running away from their lands and now seeking refugees in West African countries and all must rise up for the defence of Yoruba land.
AHMADU BELLO, SADAUNA OF SOKOTO ORDERED YORUBALAND TAKEOVER
The current plan to overrun South West Nigeria by the Fulanis has been a long plan and this is why everyone must take seriously the current influx of Fulani mercenaries.
According to Professor Banji Akintoye, apart from Uthman Dan Fodio message of ruling from the desert to the lagoon proclaimed in the 18th century, Ahmadu Bello, the old Sadauna of Sokoto in a speech in 1920 declared that the North must conquer the South part of Nigeria and rule over them.
The manifestation of the declaration is what has been staring in the face of South-west Nigeria and the evil religious agenda must be stopped.
He warned that more attacks are coming and the people must be ready to defend themselves.
The historian who has lectured in Nigeria and the United States warned that as Yoruba people are being murdered each day passing, more and more carnage are staring in our faces.
He wants all to rally and create a formidable defence force, saying that he had been trying on his part rallying people together to educate them and motivate their thinking for self-defence. He said: We must defend our land and handover a freed and secured land to our generations coming.
