Why the Yorubas and the Igbos of Nigeria or better still the Southern Protectorate of Nigeria is so fundamentally different from the Northern protectorate and why it was awfully wrong of Lord Lugard ab initio to merge the two protectorates into one country in 1914 with little or no consultation whatsoever and without a Referendum.
The first statement by Obafemi Awolowo above clearly shows why, but the gory statistics shown below would convince you that the time has come for the Yorubas and the Igbos to say NO, that ENOUPH IS ENOUPH, REFERENDUM NOW, OR WE GO!!!

Little wonder why the evil herdsmen are so bold that they carry out theur terrorsim with no fear of capture, and, or prosecution. They are now trying to launder the image of Iskilu Wakili, the dreaded terrorist who perpetrated acts of terrorism in Ibarapa and it’s environs, that resulted in residents and farmers abandoning their farms and homes, while Gumi and his ilk continue to make provocative comments in support of his killer kinsmen, the Fulani herdsmen terrorists like these ones: ““In the military, there are Christians and Muslims; the Christians in the military are the ones killing you (bandits) to cause problems,” and “When they kill, it is mostly accidental, may be somebody they took who is sick. But tell me who they have killed? How many? Few.”
The Nigerian Indigenous People have been relegated to the background as the Fulani Lord it over us. While they and their brothers from other African countries like Niger, Mali, Ivory Coast, etc, ransack our villages, killing, kidnapping and raping the indigenous people of Nigeria.
In order to stop the current eradication of the Nigerian State, if we still have any by 2023 at the rate Nigeria is sliding into the abyss, we must ensure that no Fulani man is elected PRESIDENT or VP come 2023. Whether PDP or APC, as they are already lining up: PDP – Atiku, Tambuwal, Kwankwaso, Lamido, APC – El Rufai, Bagudu, Zullum, Badaru, & Kingibe for now as there most likely will be more. (The case for an Igbo Presidency should be made).
The Nigerian Fulanis seem not to have allegiance to Nigeria, but to their tribe, their loyalty lies with their tribe which extends to Mali, Guinea, Niger, Chad and other countries.
This article is not to fan the flames of hatred, animosity, a call to arms, or call it what you may, but to correct the anomalies and the injustices in the current configuration of the space called Nigeria. There is nowhere in the world where we have a lopsided nepotistic configuration of a federal government where such country survived as one nation.
If the calls and the cries for fairness, justice and equity are not heeded, Nigeria will be the next of such nations to break up. Eritrea did not have as much justification to break away from Ethiopia, the same is true of Southern Sudan, to mention but two.
