Here’s the sad story of Nii Odartey Lamptey, Ghana international football star. His ex-wife passed off three illegitimate children as his, and he only discovered after spending his entire career training children that are not his, all through the best schools in Europe and Ghana.
Men, what do you think? Shouldn’t DNA tests be made compulsory at birth for every child? And shouldn’t women face some kinds of legal consequences for paternity frauds? – LEKE AKINROWO
PEOPLE’S COMMENTS: This is indeed very painful but thank God for good people around him at his low moments. Hmmmm!! I also think there should be some punishments for paternity frauds. – Beulah Kris
Beulah Kris, yes my brother. It’s too traumatic for most men to find out twenty years after that they’re not the fathers of the children they’ve cared for for two decades. And the women know this all the time! Imagine such wickedness! There should be a law forbidding women from passing off other men’s children to their husbands. It’s too rampant – Leke’s response to Beula Kris
This is very bad and very sad, this is getting too much for all these Jezebel women – Olakunle Olanbanji
Olakunle Banji, Nigeria is number two in the whole world when we’re talking of paternity frauds. I don’t know why Nigerian women are like that. And this phenomenon has been there for generations. I think it’s time for legislation with punitive measures to curtail the bad behavior – Leke’s response to Olakunle Banji
Leke yes oo, enough is enough for all these heartless, wicked women, this is the time – Beulah Kris
Two reasonable suggestions and I agree. In Rwanda for instance it is compulsory to do prenuptial agreement on how you both want your finances to be administered. It’s not until you are divorced that it comes into force o, as you live together you will specify if you will run joint accounts or the husband will take care of all etc. They say it helps couples a lot there. Same way compulsory DNA will save many unpleasant future heart aches – Ireti Akinrowo
Iretidola Akinrowo Ojekhoa, it’s a good thing a country is already doing what Rwanda is doing. We should have a legislation like that in Nigeria, and the legislation should involve DNA at birth. If it becomes compulsory, women will stop indulging in these practices and save all these poor men the headache of unpleasant surprises when it’s too late – Leke’s response to Ireti
Leke, you’ve said it all in your last paragraph, nothing more to add. This is wickedness of the first order. Well, let’s hear/read from women liberationists – Promise Nwosu
Promise Nwosu, coldness is a mild way of putting it. These women are criminally evil. They keep these secrets for decades and smile with the man everyday. Pure evil – Leke’s response to Promise Nwosu
That is so cruel, such women should face legal consequences – Olufunmilayo Gisanrin
Olufunmilayo Gisanrin, totally agree my dear sister. There should be consequences for such wicked frauds – Leke’s response to Olufunmilayo Gisanrin
God will heal the wounds in his heart. It’s only God that can soothe the memory – Debo Ajibade
Debo Ajibade, and the woman nko? If God heals the man, what should happen to the woman?
I am advocating for laws to hold women who do these things accountable. They’ve been walking free, but it shouldn’t be so. The wicked act of paternity fraud is very traumatising for men, there should be some kind of redress, and the women who perpetrate these frauds should be jailed or suffer some form of consequence, while the man is compensated in one way or the other. That’s justice – Leke’s response to Debo Ajibade
Leke Akinrowo Yes my brother, I agree completely with you, if not, such devilish women will continue in their diabolic acts.
I think, there must be a very strong advocacy for it. It’s rampant nowadays. Good morning, Leke – Debo Ajibade
So pathetic – Ogbeni Olusegun Okikiola Akinbobola
The painful thing is these women walk freely after ruining men like this, same with false rape accusations, a basketball player in the U.S served almost 10 years out of 22 years sentence when the accuser came out to apologize and say her mother made her accuse him wrongly for financial benefits – Christian Prince
Christian Prince, so what happened to the accuser after she confessed? I hope she’s rotting in jail – Leke’s response to Christian Prince
Leke Akinrowo I think she walked freely, just like Benjamin Mendy the mancity player who was accused of rape that has just been vindicated, we haven’t heard of any punishment meted so far to his accuser after he lost almost everything, lost the opportunity of being a champions league winner and a EPL winner, all endorsement deals gone, reputation in the mud, lost his contract with mancity. If we are sincere the world is too harsh on the male gender – Christian Prince
This is alarming ! There should be a severe punishment for Paternity Fraud in every Nation of the Earth!! – David Adekunle Majasan
David Adekunle Majasan, totally agree sir. Most of these women who commit these dastardly acts know what they’re doing, it’s usually not a case of mistakes. They double-date, get pregnant, and pass the kid off to the man they think would be less trouble. And even while married to their husbands, they continue their dalliances outside of marriage and continue to deceive the man to keep training somebody else’s children. That’s extremely callous. There should be legal repercussions for such fraudulent behaviours because the man will be traumatised for life – Leke’s response to David Adekunle Majasan
Leke Akinrowo yes oooo, I agreeeee, this is a great EVIL! – David Adekunle Majasan
Leke Akinrowo extremely callous – Ayo Dada
The children knows you as there father. Just do the best you can for them and forget it. When they get old they will always remember you as their carer and you will start enjoying the fruits of your labor. Please don’t drive them away from you – Esan ED
Esan Ed, you may not drive them, but that relationship can never be the same again. Perhaps a better way is not to do the DNA at all even if you suspect the children are not yours. As they say, ignorance is bliss – Leke’s response to Esan ED
Esan Ed. Says who. It is not always. Most time, Africans usually go back to their biological father – Taiyo Abiodun’s response to Esan ED
It (DNA) should be made compulsory and should be done before the naming of the child/Children – Wanda Adu-Cole
Wande Adu-Price I agree it shld be made compulsory, but one year benchmark is okay.
Some women go thru hard time during delivery, CS etc, doing the DNA before naming may complicate a delicate situation.
Even if they are newly married 2 years old marriage is easier broken and raider to get over than wait 20yrs.
Much important is the law to punish deliberate paternity fraud. Some do not really know who is the real father, especially in he case where the marriage was as a result of pregnancy. The women double dating are guilty of this therefore they give the pregnancy to their preferred man Olusegun Davis’ response to Wande Ade-Prince
Oluseun Davids, even with compulsory DNA, there should also be some kind of reprimand for the women in question. If you commit fraud in your place of work, wouldn’t you face some sanctions? Paternity fraud should come with some sanctions, so that women can desist from the practice, or at least reduce their proclivity for it – Leke Akinrow to Olusegun Davis
What is scary out of this all is that these women, could keep this kind of secret for those many years, going to sleep with the man every night on the same bed, watch him shower the kids with emotions and money…..terrible, totally unacceptable. One is bad enough, 3? – Ayo Dada
Ayo Dada, you know? It’s a different kind of evilness. Some women can be devilish. And this Lamptey’s ex-wife wanted to take his house on top of everything! – Leke’s response to Ayo Dada
Leke Akinrowo luciferous. These women should be made to pay back something plus jail time – Ayo Dada
Ayo Dada, that should be what men all over the world are advocating for now, that women who do these things are made to serve jail terms plus hefty fines. After all men who physically assault women are jailed because of the emotional and physical injuries they inflict on women. So why shouldn’t women go to jail for inflicting this excruciating emotional trauma on men? 🤷♂️ – Leke’s response to Ayo Dada
