Nigerians Who Chose To Build Their Nigeria And Their Democracy On The Death-Dispensing Unitary Constitution (1999) Are Directly Responsible For Their Current Woes
As weeping and gnashing of teeth multiplies in the aftermath of Nigeria’s 2023 Presidential Election, the first blame for the Multiple Disasters unfolding all around us in Nigeria must go to those who obdurately chose to continue the construction of Nigeria and its Democracy on the Foundation of the Fraudulent Unitary Constitution of Nigeria (1999), which is the fountain from which the many evils we now lament flow, whether it be Monumental Corruption, Brazen Impunity, Gross Insecurity, Decayed Infrastructure, Gross Inequality and Inequity, Mass Impoverishment, Serial Electoral Heists and Bewildering Hopelessness et cetera.
That fraudulent Constitution guarantees the atrocious Governance outcomes we bemoan and no matter who becomes the President of Nigeria under that Constitution, the situation will only get progressively worse until it snaps altogether, with disastrous consequences that will include millions in human collateral damage.
It is like leaving the Tap on and hoping that Mopping will do the trick even whilst watching the toxic effluents from that Tap turn Nigeria into the deepening and increasingly dangerous quagmire it has become.
We can choose to cling to our folly of hoping that a LEADERSHIP CHANGE that will come through the Elections Mandated by the same abominable 1999 Constitution will salvage us, until we perish. We can also make a U-Turn right now (whilst we can) and embrace the NINAS Union Reconfiguration Template that provides the most Viable Framework and Strategy by which Nigeria and Nigerians can make that Inevitable U-Turn for the SYSTEM CHANGE required to remediate our current dire situation.
We recall that for clearly stated reasons that have now manifested more poignantly, NINAS had by the Five-Point Proposition of its Joint Multi-Regional Constitutional Force Majeure of December 2020, prescribed the Suspension of further National Elections, (particularly the scheduled 2023 General Elections), under the Distressed 1999 Constitution; as well as a Prescription for the immediate initiation of a TRANSITIONING Arrangement to Reconfigure the Damaged Constitutional Basis of Nigeria.
Those Propositions and Prescriptions were followed by a Vigorous Campaign that ran on what seemed a head-on collision with the Campaigns of the Political Parties for the 2023 Elections.
It gives me no joy to inform us that the looming Disasters that prompted the NINAS Propositions, Prescriptions and Vigorous Campaigns are now happening all around us, neither does it gladden my heart to alert us that more of the envisaged Disasters are racing towards us except we make a U-Turn and begin the race of escape from those Disasters, using the vehicle of the NINAS Union Reconfiguration Template that begins with an Immediate TRANSITIONING Arrangement, in wholesale Jettisoning of both the Dubious Outcome of the 2023 Presidential Election and the Fraudulent Unitary Constitution that Mandated it.
The Default is a Disorderly Union Dissolution with grave Consequences for the Trapped Constituent Components of the Defunct Federation of Nigeria.
