Interesting!
I am right now watching the report on ChannelsTv News@10.
No president of Nigeria deserves to join the masses in condemning a crime, murder, manslaughter or whatever SIMPLY because the story has gone viral. Of course he/she cannot convincingly proceed to wring his/her hand in apparent despair. Specifically, Buhari has both the yam and the knife. In a situation where the complaints and demands of the public, collated as reports and recommendations from the Judicial Panel following the #EndSARS Protests, are ignored, it is disingenuous to feign outrage over a SINGLE SAD INCIDENT.
Then again, as guilty as the trigger-happy Police ASP may seem, it borders on interference for the political leadership, as opposed to mere aspirants, to weigh in beyond condemnation.
That would be Executive Lynching! Not good at all.
If Mr President is unhappy about this shooting, he should channel his grief and frustration towards the Administrative and Judicial Reforms, already codified, meant to keep official bearers of arms in check. During the #EndSARS Panel seating, many of us had insisted that ALL Police Officers who interact with public while armed must be subjected to psychological profiling by non-Police Medical professionals. Those who fail get cashiered out. End of discussion!
Has this been implemented? .
IF NOT, has it been rejected, so that at least we can agree that we are back to square 1?
It is on record that some individuals indicted in the widely reported Apo-6 Murders by elements of the Nigeria Police are still serving in the Force. Obviously, outrage expressed by occupants of Aso Rock, calmly sitting on their hands, does nothing to advance the cause of the Rule of Law and Justice.

COMMENTS:
Tony Odadi: I humbly disagree…. Such a revolting outrage by all and sundry including the President of the Republic will send the desired signal to every person in uniform not just police officers involved in this dastardly killing of this female lawyer sitting next to her husband in the car on Christmas day. Military officers, DSS, Customs, Civil Defence, Vigilante units, etc will now know that any mishandling of weapon or fatal shooting of innocent persons will get a swift presidential condemnation. In the Police and Military forces, a Summary Court Martial/Orderly Room trial is recommended!
Azih:
Tony Odiadi,
The question is this.
Is the outrage expressed by the President’s aide ON HIS BEHALF enough?
Unless you can convince us that this one is the murder(?) to end ALL MURDERS BY THE POLICE AND OTHER ARMS OF THE SECURITY AGENCIES.

I may need to restate this. .
I am very difficult to impress. This is a personal failing.
