Thank you so much Ayo. You’re so kind with words. The challenge is that the present crop of leaders in the country don’t like criticism at all. They cuddle praise singers who will suck up to their sh*t and willing to tell them that they are the best thing in life invented after slice bread. Needless to say, good leaders listen to constructive criticism. They’re ready and willing to modify their approach to tackling societal issues for the benefit of the citizenry. But, this present government treats every criticism as haram; it detest any suggestion that’s not in synch with their myopic, religious and sectional approach that has failed the country time and time again. Frankly, it’s like this present government is cursed.
Look at what is currently trending. It turns out that Rev. Father Mbaka, the Catholic Priest, of Adoration Ministry based in Enugu who had been one of President Buhari staunch supporters is now persona non grata simply because he called out the President for his inability to stem the tide of insecurity ravaging the country. He’d lambasted the President for his aloofness and incompetence, advising him to rise to the occasion and stop the rising spate of killings, rape and banditry by terrorists across the country. Or else, he should resign.
Garba Shehu, the President’s Spokesperson, in defense of his Principal, quickly released a statement in a yet another one of his getting on new low, that Rev. Mbaka had approached the President with 3 contractors soliciting contracts in quid pro quo. He regaled the reader on how they were taken aback considering the image Fr. Mbaka had been cultivating with the public as an altruistic critic for the benefit of the people. So, the name of the game for this terrorist government is blackmail against critics.
Prior to this, Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Labour published on tweeter private messages he had sometimes 3 years ago with Eedrees AbdulKareem, the jagajaga crooner. It transpired, from the published conversations, Eedrees being a friend requested a loan from Keyamo to enable him take care of his sick mother. A favour which Keyamo turned down notwithstanding that Eedrees stood by him with his songs when Keyamo was incarcerated as an activist. It happens that jagajaga reloaded has a part of the lyrics with “Keyamo don join the cabal to chop”. Meaning Keyamo is a turncoat!

This was what triggered a former activist, a SAN, a serving minister of the most populous black country in world, to throw caution to the winds, shamelessly descended into the gutter and threw mud on a private citizen because he cannot take criticism. By the way, Tweeter removed those tweet as it violated its community privacy policy.
Can you notice the pattern? Avoid the issues raised by the critics. Instead, ascribe pecuniary motives for their criticism. In other words, use blackmail on citizens who dare to challenge government on any issue. To silence opposition, this clueless and repressive government now deploys all manners of blackmail using its officers, paid agents, government agencies like EFCC, ICPC, FIRS, and outright elimination of recalcitrant opponent as Governor Ortom of Benue State once openly alleged in a TV interview.
Can you see why the elites are not ready to speak up? Strangely, the situation on ground is akin to what you would find back in the day during the era of the military regime in Nigeria when grave fear pervaded the land. Ironically, those old enough during the military era are having nostalgic feelings about that time. Come to think about it. Fact is, there were no mass killings, banditry and terrorism as we have under this pseudo-democracy with President Buhari at the helm.
Wait a minute… Is Nigeria being set up for military takeover by northern Fulani and the Islamic military wing in continuation of the fulanization and Islamic agenda of Nigeria? The world is watching.
Ayo’s Response:
Thank you Larry, it’s nice to hear from you bro. I feel your pains, I feel your frustrations and your passion. The situation in Nigeria is dire and very sad, it is not an overstatement to say that Nigeria is literally looking down the barrels of guns because of the incompetence of the Buhari led administration. Like you rightly pointed out, they’ve resorted to blackmail as a means of defense because they have none. This government and PMB in particular is the most corrupt government and president in Nigeria, EVER!
Buhari’s nepotism, prejudice, favoritism, sectionalism and bigotry is second to none. All he cares about are his kinsmen. His incompetence stinks to high heavens. If these are not fraud, I wonder what is. His silence is deafening, it’s like the man has no soul, I can’t believe that there will be another leader more evil than Abacha and Babangida until the advent of Buhari. The bloodshed in this regime is only second to that of the Nigerian civil war. We now know why he was desperate to become president; having tried and failed thrice, he threatened fire and brimstone if not elected, he is there to fulfil Fulani agenda.
Larry, we need to continue to rub minds in trying to find solutions to the serious but avoidable situation we find ourselves in Nigeria. I will call you later on today. HAPPY SUNDAY BRO.
